Monte Carlo - Sebastian Vettel proved his capacity as a great racer. Despite continued pressure almost throughout the race and the car is not ideal, he still could win.
In the Monaco Grand Prix in Monte Carlo street circuit on Sunday (05/29/2011),
Vettel just entered the pit once. It was on lap 16. That is, he's sticking with the same tire (soft tires) for 55 laps before the race was stopped while on lap 72.
Compare this with the two main rivals in this race, Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button. Both entered their respective two and three times the pit.
Despite his tires more worn than Alonso and Button's, in fact Vettel remains safe in the front. He still can not over taken until the race ended.
Another incident that foreshadowed this race is the conviction of Lewis Hamilton, Felipe Massa due to nudging. Vitaly Petrov is also involved in a serious accident, although his condition is unknown.
Accidents involving Petrov made the race was stopped on lap 72. Once resumed, Vettel which had changed its super soft tires still not overtaken and picked up his fifth victory from six series that have been held this season.
